I hate the swine flu

It's 100% blown out of proportion...
did you know that more people have died of the real flu this year than of swine flu?
not hard... only ONE person has died of swine flu compared to the 13,000 that died of the real flu...

Also, two people are killed every year by VENDING MACHINES!!

vending machines, 200% more deadly than the swine flu.

I'm just a little upset... I had a great trip to Havasupi planned and it was completely ruined. this picture only sort of makes up for it...

I was always barefoot when I was a kid, and even now it is rare to find me laced up unless I am going somewhere where it is required.
in fact... A few months ago my parents were out here visiting and we decided to go to town via the north shore. Well we had a good time at the beach for a little while and then hopped in the car to head on to honolulu (about an hour or more away from my house) we were about 3/4's the way there when I realized I hadn't brought any shoes! My parents and even katie gave me that look... the "Are you serious?!' look... yes, I am 22 and I went to the mall with no shoes on.
I think my mom was a little embarrassed when I waltzed into Nordstrom with my toes bared, she insisted on buying me new sandals.

so to celebrate I bought these shorts...




now, some of you might be thinking, "Karly, those are too short".
They are actual shorts, yes.
This is not normal for me. For the past four years I have attended (and I'm more than glad I have) BYU, and anything above the knee has been too short. But no longer!
don't get me wrong, I love being modest
and I'm not going to go wild because of these shorts,
but my lower thighs have been neglected enough!
